Jessica Barker
CEO: Wholesome Creation Company
Jessica spent 7 years living and working in the education industry in Changsha, China as a foreign director and then IB PYP art teacher after completing her Bachelors Degree in English and Media at Nelson Mandela University. She then went on to complete her PGCE in Education before becoming a mom of 2, and relocating back to South Africa to head up Wise Education’s collaboration partner company: Wholesome Creation.
Katherine Chen
CEO: Wise Education
Katherine founded Wise Education in 2015 with her husband, John Ingram. Together they have built multiple businesses over the years with the purpose of helping families. Katherine is a registered psychologist and is currently completing her degree in social work.

Rest assured that we know that investing in your child’s future takes a lot of consideration. That is why we hold ourselves to a high standard when it comes to adding new team members to the Wise Education family. All of our Online Facilitators have been carefully vetted to ensure nothing gets in the way of the Bandit Box experience.
What is an Online Facilitator?
Our Online Facilitators are there to create a personalized and student-centered learning experience, catering to individual needs and interests. They encourage active learning and critical thinking by guiding Bandit Box Adventurers to discover information and solutions themselves which leads to a more collaborative and interactive environment, enhancing student engagement and motivation.
Show What You Know
Community Chats
Our Online Facilitators engage with all Bandit Box adventurers weekly for a FREE 30 minute “Show what you know” session through our Online Workshop platform. During this session, all Adventurers are encouraged to present something they made from their Bandit Box, with our Online Facilitators assisting the process and guiding the students in their language use to help build confidence and presentation skills. Our Facilitators use their unique skills to makes these sharing session fun and meaningful, as well as provide a safe place for everyone to share their awesome creations with other children from around the world that are on the same language level as them. Parents receive personalised feedback from our Facilitators on their child’s progress to help inform parents where additional learning support may be needed.
Topic Chats
Daily Topic Chats
In addition to FREE weekly Community Chats, our Online Facilitators communicate with all Bandit Box Adventurers through our week day Topic Group chats. A new topic related video is posted at the start of each week, and Adventurers are encouraged to engage in English with the content in the group as part of the complete Bandit Box experience.
